Flexible participation

In-person and virtual options

Group format and availability are based on clinical fit, age, topic, enrollment, and scheduling. An intake screening helps determine whether a group is appropriate.

In-person groups

Meet in a structured, welcoming setting that supports direct conversation, shared activities, and meaningful connection.

Virtual groups

Join from a private location through a secure telehealth format when available and clinically appropriate.

Clinician-led care

Each group is facilitated by a qualified behavioral health professional who guides discussion, skill practice, and emotional safety.

Privacy and fit

A thoughtful start for every participant

Before enrollment, NuStart completes an intake and clinical screening to review goals, group expectations, privacy, safety, and whether the available group is a suitable match. Group members are expected to respect one another’s privacy; however, confidentiality among participants cannot be guaranteed in the same way it can in individual therapy.

Insurance coverage, direct-pay rates, and group availability vary. Most major insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare, and direct pay are accepted when the service and plan allow.
